Siggraph, August 13 2008 - Nevercenter Ltd. Co. today released version 2.1 of its popular 3D modeling application Silo, which is now available at www.nevercenter.com in two different versions. Silo Core is a new, lighter version of Silo which will be available for $99 and is solely focused on modeling tools. Silo Professional is the equivalent of previous full versions of Silo, including high quality displacement painting, advanced UV layout, and high end modeling tools on top of Silo's robust core toolset.

Massive announced today that they’re shipping the new 3.5 version of their software. New Agent Fields handle local interactions between large numbers of agents for such things as collision avoidance, pedestrian visualization and flocking. Users can define an area, or field, around an agent in which another agent’s proximity, orientation, velocity, direction and color can be assessed. There is also improved hair and dynamics support in the new version with increased control of hair with a guide hair shape constraint that can be used to get hair to keep to a user-defined shape or hairstyle. |
